My personal favorite game engine. Not happy with their subscription model, but they do have a limited free version. (it was used to make undertale!)

Godot
Used to use it a lot more than I do now, but it's a great game engine.

Great library of free sounds. Use it for a lot of my games.

FL Studio
Music making software. Don't use it personally but my music-making friends do.

Audacity
Free audio manipulation software.

VLC
Needs no introduction. The only media player I will use.

Graphics

Gimp
Free image manipulation software. Favorite image software, used it to help make this website.

Pixilart
Pixelart making website. Like it for it's ease of use.

FontForge
Open source font making and editing software.
